In October of 2018, I ordered my first crochet hook.  I had tried unsuccessfully to learn to knit several times.  My Grandmother, Mom and Aunt all knit but I could not figure out the 2 needles.  So, by using a book and YouTube, I taught myself to Crochet.  I started out making a few small blankets for my girls but then found a CAL (crochet-along).  I signed up and crocheted a hat a week during the summer.  I learned so many new stitches, was able to chat with people who were working on the same pattern and donated over 20 hats to my old high school for their winter coat drive.  I was hooked!
